The Ansbacher Family 1925, Photo: Private Collection
The project day is dedicated to the Jewish Ansbacher Family, who lived for several generations in the Upper Palatinate town of Floss. The history of the family during the years 1933 to 1945 reflect the fates of thousands of other German Jews, who were affected by persecution, expulsion and annihilation.
Participants will learn about the Ansbacher family through private photos, letters and documents, giving them a unique insight into the life of a Jewish family during the Nazi dictatorship.
Program schedule: tour (2 hours), break (45 minutes), workshop (2:45 hours)
